Tips For Catching Fish
Hint by matthewm123451 on August 05, 2007 | report this hint
None of this is new information, it has pretty much all been posted on-line already but I thought I'd put it all in one post along with a list, by species, of which lures I use. Generally the first lure on the list is the one I start with. Different days, weather, water temps and lakes will require color/size adjustments. I use the biggest size lures and lightest line I can get away with. Use a steady reel (just fast enough that the lure makes its noise and/or proper action). Once the lure display box (bottom right hand corner) flashes red, stop reeling and twitch the lure a little. The fish will almost always take the lure at this point. Reel the fish in, moving the rod from left to right (don't jerk it, just move it) when the line tension is getting low (bar at the top that appears as you reel in a fish). Big fish won't require you to do this. If need be, use the left trigger to let out line. Typically you'll win the tournament following these steps and lure choices. In normal mode you should be able to win within the first 10 or 15 minutes of a tournament. Wait until you have 10lbs over the target to weight in and you'll be in the top spot.
