Pokemon Sapphire Version

Nice Addition on May 21, 2008

The Pokemon Series continues once more in a new region, with new Pokemon. It's kind of the same thing over and over, though, having different Pokemon, different gyms, different trainers, and new moves, makes it a pretty good find. From the new starter Pokemon Mudkip, Torchic, and Treecko, to the legendary Pokemon Kyogre, Rayquaza, and Latias, The game has you running about for hours on end training them, all to become the Champion of the Hoenn region. You start out in Littleroot, a quaint little village of exactly three buildings. I never quite understood why they were so small, and why we never see Officer Jenny, but differences from the show aside, all is well once more in the land of Pokemon. Sapphire version is the mirror to Ruby version, in that, in order to "catch them all", you effectively need both versions of the game. This is a concept they have been using since their very first games, and has been quite the marketing ploy. Such examples include game exclusive Pokemon; Sapphire has Kyogre and Latias, Ruby has Groudon and Latios. There are many other that are rare or not attainable in one version, but easy enough to find in the other. There are special features hidden within the games, that require you to first complete certain tasks to unlock. Have a special saying on your trainer card? found all 202 Pokemon? Or maybe you've had a trade with some Pokemon from Fire Red or Leaf Green? There is much to discover in the world of Pokemon, and even if you are new to the series, this is as great a place as any to start. Newer games have come out since these two, so you should be able to find this game in your local bargain bin, and for a fairly decent price.
